My Story

Hello! I’m Jackson Hadley

I am a highly motivated and energetic videographer specializing in camera operation, editing, and creating professional grade sports content. I am passionate about capturing the moment and aim to deliver the highest quality content possible while creating a positive and exciting professional environment.

Sports are my passion. I love the game, the culture, and the energy of every sport. The spirit of competition and the history that it has procured has taken part in many of the greatest memories in my life. (It helps being a Kansas City native). Being able to produce the stories that sports create, and to translate the energy they deserve to the screen is what I am set on doing.

I grew up in a family of filmmakers. My dad directed commercials under his business Third Eye Productions while my mom produced with him. Years later my sisters started a wedding videography business together: Her Third Eye Productions. The collective success from their businesses has been a guiding element as i’ve grown up.

In high school, I began creating videos with my friends and working with my sisters as a videographer for their wedding films. I also executive produced for Blue Valley High School’s broadcast program.

As I headed into the University of Kansas, I was able to work for Rock Chalk Video, the Kansas Athletic Department’s video team, where I operated live production cameras, operated Abekas MIRA replay systems, and learned the storage and handling of studio equipment for ESPN+ broadcasts. In my senior year, I had the opportunity to act as the Kansas Baseball Team’s on field creative videographer and created numerous social media pieces using Sony a7siii cameras and editing in Adobe Premiere.

In May 2023, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Media Studies and a Minor in Journalism.

In December of 2023 I began working as a Video Content Intern with the Kansas City Royals and their in house creative team, Pine Tar Collective. Along with contributing to countless productions with the team, I had the ability to shoot most of the team’s home games throughout the 2024 season. Some of my projects have included shooting the 2023 Draft Class’ player orientation, editing Chevy Sponsored content series’ and editing community moment pieces that are used for the team’s social media accounts.

Most notably, along with our other intern, we created the “Home Stand Highlights” that are featured on my “My Work” page. These pieces played in the middle of the first inning as the team came up to bat every home game. It’s with these pieces I have been able to expand my editing toolkit and establish my technical skills along with achieving a pace and style with which I capture the team’s best moments - while hopefully giving the players and fanbase a little extra boost on the side.

Using the Sony Cinema line of cameras, Aputure light rigs, and many other pieces of production equipment, I have expanded my technical expertise. Furthermore, my production knowledge has improved as I was able to see how a team procures projects from start to finish. These things helped contribute to my communication, team-building, and time management skills.

I aim to use this passion for sports with the knowledge and background that I have to contribute to any team/brand/entity that decides to bring me on.

My scope lies in the world of sports, but is absolutely not limited to sports, as I will be more than happy and able to create in numerous other areas. Such as weddings, events, personal projects, music videos, films, etc.
